Hyundai’s Click to Buy makes buying a Hyundai a completely on-line event

Hyundai’s Click to Buy – a new Hyundai will be just a click away

Hyundai Click to Buy is a new Hyundai website making buying a new Hyundai as easy as shopping on Amazon. Launches 6 January 2017.

Hyundai has already dipped its toe in the waters of online car selling with Rockar, which has already spawned a new website and a pair of Rockar outlets, one at Bluewater and one at Westfield, both of which have proved very successful.

But when Hyundai launched the Rockar car buying experience in 2014, we did say that it was clearly the future of car sales, but Hyundai had copped out a bit by tying the online offering to physical store. But not any more.

Starting on 6 January 2017, a new Hyundai website will be live and will let you do just about everything you could do in a Hyundai dealers, except you’ll be able to do it from the comfort of your sofa, sat in your PJs and with a glass of red in one hand.

On offer on the Click to Buy site will be the Hyundai i10, i20, i30, Tucson and Santa Fe, with fixed pricing (no haggling – which will suit many), trade-in, options and finance all able to be sorted with just a click of the mouse.

Pay cash (well, bank transfer) and Hyundai will turn things round in quick sticks, delivering your new car and picking up your trade-in. Choose finance and you’ll have to make an appearance at the dealer’s (finance regs).

Tony Whitehorn, Hyundai CEO, said:

It’s no understatement to say that we’ve been pioneering in the field of online car sales, thanks to our successful experience with our digital stores. Now it gives me great pleasure to launch Hyundai’s own website, Click To Buy.

We’ve spent many years listening to customers and Click To Buy is the result: it’s a site that makes the process of buying a new car easier, simpler and clearer than ever, doing away with haggling through fixed pricing – and offering the ability to buy a car online in just five minutes flat. This is just the start of Hyundai offering even greater customer service. Over the coming months we’ll be adding even more functionality to Click To Buy – watch this space.

So easy is the new Click to Buy website, Hyundai reckon you can complete a purchase in as little as five minutes.

Hyundai are clearly factoring in their existing dealers to the new click to buy stuff, but how long before they become just service and distribution outlets we wouldn’t like to say.

Still, it’s progress, and there’s life left in the dealer network until we’re all comfortable ordering a car like we would a washing machine.
