DS 7 Crossback La Premiere (pictured) kicks off DS 7 sales
Sales of the new DS 7 Crossback – a new luxury SUV from Citroen’s DS brand – start with the DS 7 Crossback La Premier, a fully equipped DS 7 costing £42,650.
The DS 7 Crossback was revealed in February as the first proper DS brand car, adding to the range of titivated rebadged Citroen’s DS has had to work with until now, and it looks very promising. Now, as DS start to take orders for the new DS 7 Crossback, DS has announced an all-singing, all-dancing, range topping DS7 Crossback La Premier model will be the first out of the gates – at a not insignificant £42,650.
Aimed at the ‘Premium’ competition like the BMW X1, Audi Q3 and even the Lexus NX, the new DS 7 is based on the same EMP2 Platform as the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 and comes with a sophisticated multi-link back end, a stiff structure and road-scanning Magic Ride.

The DS 7 Crossback La Premiere gets an upmarket interior with lots of toys
The DS 7 La Premier gets all that and a wealth of goodies including a pair of 12″ instrument screens, DS Active LED Vision, Hypnotic 3D rear lights, ‘Art Rubis’ leather upholstery, DS Connected Pilot (Active Cruise and Lane Keeping), DS Night Vision and DS Active Scan Suspension.
The DS 7 La Premier is available with either the diesel BlueHDi 180 or the petrol THP 225 engines, both costing the same £42,650.
But if you want to go mad you can still dig in to the options list with stuff like a glass panoramic roof with LED lighting (£1,000), FOCAL Electra Hi-Fi (£990), DS Urban Pack (£600) and much more.
If you’re up for splashing getting on for £50k on a new DS 7 Crossback, Citroen’s DS showrooms in the UK are happy to take your order, and you can play at speccing up the DS 7 on the DS configurator, but only until 31 December 2017.
But don’t expect UK delivery until 2018.
