Range Rover SV Coupe: Land Rover tease a two-door Range Rover

The Range Rover SV Coupe is previewed with a single interior image as Land Rover go back to Range Rover roots with a new two-door Range Rover. Just 999 being built.

The original Range Rover had just two doors, and to celebrate their 70th Anniversary this year Land Rover are taking the Range Rover back to its roots with a new two-door Range Rover SV Coupe.

Heading for a reveal at the Geneva Motor Show, Land Rover has started the tease for the SV Coupe with a single photo (above) of the interior, which looks fairly standard high-end Range Rover.

But the front and rear seats are trimmed in different colour quilted leather, the centre console runs the full length of the cabin to create an ‘Executive’ seating two-seat layout in the back, and it looks like all Range Rovers options are present and correct.

We don’t yet know if the ‘Coupe’ bit refers just to its two-door format or whether it will be styled with a new roofline and back-end, but it’s being built by Special Vehicle Operations and it seems likely the body shape will change.

Power is likely to come from the same 557bhp  5.0 litre V8 which powers the SVAutobiography, and prices will probably be north of £175,000.
