First official photo of the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe
The new Hyundai Santa Fe is officially revealed in the first photos of the 2018 Santa Fe from Hyundai, showing an SUV with a bold new look and new technology.
The Hyundai Santa Fe is a much more able large-ish SUV than it gets credit for, offering families a great way to move bodies and stuff around and without paying a completely barking price. But the Santa Fe is due for an update and Hyundai has been busy teasing its arrival, including last week with a set of renders of the 2018 Santa Fe.
We did expect to have to take the renders with a pinch of salt, but Hyundai has now released a couple of photos of the new Santa Fe and it looks pretty much as good as the renders.
The new face – clearly inspired by the Kona – offers slim driving lights at the top and twin headlights beneath, a new cascading grille, statement wheelarches and a strong shoulder line. It looks purposeful and appealing.

Inside looks Kona-inspired too, with a tiered dashboard with large infotainment screen centre and top, more upmarket materials in evidence and more room thanks to an increased wheelbase and clever packaging.
Technology includes ‘learning’ voice control, Smartphone connectivities, Forward Collision Warning, Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Driver Attention Warning and High Beam Assist.
So far Hyundai has only revealed the Santa Fe for the Korean market, and there it gets the choice of 2.0 litre and 2.2 litre diesels or a 2.0 litre petrol. But the UK and Europe are more likely to offer just the 2.2 diesel.
We’ll update with more on the new Santa Fe when Hyundai delivers UK details.
