VW Golf GTI for sale with one ‘CAREFUL’ owner – Jeremy Clarkson

Jeremy Clarkson has decided to sell his ‘daily driver’ 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI, advertising it in Drive Tribe for £21,500.

Jeremy Clarkson has had an eclectic range of cars in his time, including fast Fords, quick Jags, Range Rovers, Lamborghinis and Ferraris and even a Mercedes Grosser, but one car he does seem to dote on is the Volkswagen Golf GTI, seemingly his choice as a daily driver.

Those of you who paid Amazon’s shilling to watch The Grand Tour will already know that Clarkson’s Golf GTI isn’t exactly the car he thought he’d specced when he ordered it, with Clarkson himself admitting he’d ticked the wrong box and got a five-door instead of a three-door, and James May claiming he also thought he’d ordered a red GTI but ticked the wrong box for that too.

So instead of a red Golf GTI three-door, Clarkson ended up with a dark grey five-door Golf GTI, which, after 23,200 miles he’s decided to flog.

Jeremy’s Golf GTI may not be quite the car he thought he was ordering, but he did manage to tick the right box to get the GTI Performance Pack which adds brakes from the Golf R, an extra 10bhp and a limited slip diff.

It’s not exactly bargain basement at £21, 500, but if you reckon the kudos of having an ex-Jeremy Clarkson Golf GTI on your drive is worth an extra couple of grand or so, head over to Drive Tribe and tell Jezza you’ll take it off his hands.
