NEW Ford Kuga SUV teased ahead of next week’s reveal
The new third-generation Ford Kuga SUV will be revealed next week, ahead of which Ford delivers a short tease video of the 2020 Kuga.
There may be doubts about some of Ford’s car range in the UK and Europe, but one thing is in no doubt – the future for Ford is SUVs.So the arrival of a new version of Ford’s most established SUV – the Ford Kuga – is a big deal, and that arrival will be next week (April 2 2019).
Ahead of that reveal, Ford has published a short teaser video of the new Kuga, and although it’s not giving too much away it’s clear the new Kuga’s design will be influenced by the latest Ford Focus.
That will mean the new Kuga is curvier than the current version and will have a wider-looking, more purposeful stance with an interior not a million miles away from the Focus either, an interior which will be bigger thanks to the new platform
What will arrive, as well as the usual engine suspects borrowed from the Focus (except, perhaps, the 1.0 litre three-pot), is a plug-in hybrid version and a normal hybrid version too. And we may see a Kuga ST too.
We’ll find out more next week, and we may learn more than Ford has announced. Rumour has it that as well as revealing the new Kuga, Ford will also reveal a Fiesta-based crossover at the same time.
