The Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition has been revealed to celebrate the Aston Martin James Bond franchise, complete with accessories including an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra James Bond watch.
The Aston Martin DB9 GT – revealed last month – is the run-out model for the current DB, but it seems Aston can’t resist cashing-in on the upcoming James Bond SPECTRE film with a limited edition version of the DB9 GT – inventively called the Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition.
Just 150 DB9 GT Bond Editions are being built – each costing £165,000 – with exactly the same 540bhp 5.9 litre V12 as the DB9 GT, but with a few cosmetic tweaks to turn it in to a Bond special.
The tweaks include a set of 20″ 10-spoke gloss black alloys, bright aluminium for the bonnet vents, side strakes and grill, carbon fibre splitter at the front and diffuser at the back, grey brake calipers, sill plates with the 007 logo, some 007 embroidery and a Bond Edition start-up screen for the AMi. Sadly, there’s no gear lever to conceal an ejector seat button, and nor are there bullet-proof screens or machine guns either.
But it seems Aston are just as keen on flogging accessories on the back of the Bond Edition (they sent us more photos of the accessories than the car) with an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m James Bond Limited Edition watch with Aston Martin strap and a 21” Globe-Trotter trolley case in embossed leather both on offer.
The Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition (& accessories) are now available to order in the UK from £165,000 – a rather strong £25k more than a standard DB9 GT.
