The weather on Saturday was wet and miserable, but that didn’t stop the annual Lord Mayor’s Show in London going ahead, complete with a selection of Aston Martin’s finest.
This year Aston Martin was asked to take part by the The Worshipful Company of Coachmakers and Coach Harness Makers of London – an apt invite for Aston’s centenary year – and Aston Martin responded with a decent turnout of models.
The headline car was undoubtedly the Vanquish Coupe all wrapped in the GREAT Britain campaign livery, but Aston also had the new Vanquish Volante Convertible, a pair of Rapides and the old faithful DB9.
Aston Martin’s Global Brand boss, Janette Green, said:
To see our sports cars taking part in such an historic and famous event as The Lord Mayor’s Show is a special occasion for everyone associated with Aston Martin.
I would like to thank the Worshipful Company for their kind invitation, and hope all those who saw the cars felt a little of the pride that I know we at Gaydon share in being part of this remarkable event.
Nice to see Aston Martin as a part of what Britain does so well – pomp and circumstance in the rain.
