Audi A8 Edition 21 celebrates 21 years of the A8 – costs from £72,525

The Audi A8 Edition 21 is a limited run of just 121 A8s for the UK – celebrating 21 years since the A8 launched – with lots of luxury and sporty upgrades.

The Audi A8 has been with us for 21 years, and to celebrate Audi has revealed the A8 Edition 21, based on the A8 SE Executive – with a raft of upgrades to make the Edition 21 a properly luxurious A8.

Available in standard or long wheelbase, the Edition 21 comes with a very upmarket cabin – by Audi Exclusive and available in Cognac Brown with black stitching or Black with red stitching – with comfort sports seats, illuminated sill plates, HDD Sat Nav and Bose surround sound, as well as the usual goodies from the SE Executive.

The exterior also comes in for a makeover, with a Sport Styling Package giving the Edition 21 an S8 look, with new bumpers front and back, bigger sills 20″ double-spoke alloys, privacy glass, Matrix LED headlights and LED tail lights and even the option of a Daytona Grey paint job, until now offered only on the S8.

The only engine option for the Edition 21 is Audi’s 3.0 litre TDi V6 diesel with 258bhp – good for 0-62mph in 5.9 seconds – with quattro 4WD as standard.

The Audi A8 Edition 21 is now on sale at Audi’s UK dealers, with the SWB version starting at £72,525 and the LWB at £76,490. First customer cars should arrive in November.
