Citroen C4 Cactus OneTone launches
The Citroen C4 Cactus range is being extended with the C4 Cactus OneTone, a new addition to the range offering a single black tone as its main theme.
The Citroen C4 Cactus is a real Marmite car, but the fact it dares to be different in a world where it’s often hard to tell one car from another is a huge plus in our book.At the bottom end of the model scale, it offers properly funky looks, those big bubble car-park-knock airbumps and an interior that takes basic minimalism to a new level.
The trouble is, as the price goes up with more desirable models some of the cheapness that you can overlook starts to niggle, and the C4 Cactus starts to feel a bit more cynical.
Still, it’s great fun to blat around town in, and if you love the shape but not necessarily the boldness of the AirBumps on the flanks Citroen has the answer – the new C4 Cactus OneTone.
In case you hadn’t guessed, the OneTone offers a single colour palette, with black chosen as the colour du jour (although it could well extend to other colours later) to create a stealth look for the Cactus.
That means an Obsidian Black paint job, black AirBumps, 17″ black alloys and OneTone graphics on the rear quarter panels.
Based on the range-topping Flair trim, the C4 Cactus PureTech 110 S&S manual OneTone gets the City Park Pack with front parking sensors, gap measurement and Park Assist self-parking, a two-tone steering wheel, privacy glass, Sat Nav and Hi-Fi Pack and Bluetooth.
To promote the new C4 Cactus OneTone, Citroen is running a new advert (below) based round The Voice auditions with the winner a cute little girl who blasts out hard rock, a contradiction that’s a simile for the new OneTone.
The new Citroen C4 Cactus OneTone goes on sale at Citroen’s UK dealers on 1 April.
