Citroen has launched a pair of special edition DS3s – the DS3 DStyle Red & DSport Red – to give New Year sales a bit of a fillip. Price from £15,655.

The Citroen DS3 Red Edition comes in two flavours – DS3 DStyle Red and DS3 DSport Red – based on the existing DS3 DSport and DS3 DStyle with the requisite added goodies and stand-out paint job – either Polar white or Nera Black (with Perla Nera Black pearlescent a £480 option) – with an exclusive ‘Red Touch’ interior and exterior pack which includes red roof and door mirrors, red grill, red dashboard and red door handles.
Depending on paint job, the DS3 Red Editions get either white or black alloys – 16″ on ‘Ashera’ on the DStyle or 17″ ‘Bellone’ on the DSport – complete with red centre caps.
The DS3 DStyle Red Edition also comes with the Connected Signature Pack which adds Bluetooth, USB and an uprated sound system and the DS3 DSport Red gets the City Signature Pack which adds auto lights and wipers, rear parking sensors and electric folding mirrors as well as the Connected Signature Pack extras on the DStyle Red.
The DS3 DStyle Red can be had with the VTi 120 petrol engine for £15,655 or the e-HDi 90 Airdream diesel for £15,855. The DS3 DSport Red comes with either the THP 155 at £17,780 or e-HDi 115 Airdream diesel at £18,060. All the Red Editions get a manual ‘box.

The DS3 is a really nice, little car. These special editions seem pretty good value for money too. I could imagine Citroen doing quite well with these ones.
