Citroen DS3 UK Details & Prices
Citroen has revealed that the Citroen DS3 racing will come with 204bhp from its 4-pot 1.6 litre turbo and a price tag of £23,100 in the UK
We brought news of the Citroen DS3 Racing back in February and now, some six months on, Citroen has got round to sending us some concrete details and UK prices. Which are a bit of a surprise.
The Citroen DS3 Racing is going to cost a hefty £23,100 (which as it won’t be hitting customers until early 2011 does include VAT at 20% – still steep though) when it arrives in 2011. Which does seem rather a lot (despite its promise) and its geting on for £5k more than the Renaultsport Clio 200, which could be considered its closest competition. It costs even more than the tin top MINI JCW.
So what are you getting for a rather large chunk of change? Well, you can have the DS3 Racing in black with an orange roof or white with a carbon grey roof, and whatever roof colour you opt for will also get used on the The roof colours are also matched to the grille surround, mirrors and spoiler. It’ll even get extended to the alloys.
Under the skin the chassis gets a sorting with widened track at the front and back, a lower ride height and new dampers. There are also upgraded brakes to cope with the additional performance which gives a 0-62mph of 6.4 seconds from the DS3 Racing’s 1.6 litre turbo 4-pot (which comes equipped with 204bhp).
Citroen only intend bringing 200 DS3 Racing to the UK and have already received 1500 expressions of interest, so despite the rather hefty price tag it looks like the DS3 Racing will be a sell out.
