It’s been revealed that the 2011 Ford Mustang GT will get a 5.0 litre lump delivering 412hp
It looks like Ford are taking the latest version of the iconic Ford Mustang GT seriously. The social web (Twitterers a Facebook fiends alike) have spilled the beans on what powers Ford’s latest V8 Mustang ahead of the official news at the Detroit Motor Show next month.
Not only does the Mustang get a 5.0 litre, but it manages to deliver 412 horses. That compares to the new 2011 V6 Mustang we reported on a few weeks ago which itself delivers a respectable 305bhp. So for the firts time in a very long time the Mustang looks like it will not only look good but go well.
Sadly, as Ford itself hasn’t divvied up any information on their new baby, we will have to wait a while for the full Monty. But it seems a tad unlikely we’ll have to wait until Detroit for the news. Not a lot of point keeping the cake under cover now the icing has leaked out.
There may well be more later today when the US wakes up.
