2019 Honda NSX gets a round of improvement and an optional ornage paint job
The Honda NSX has come in for a round of tweaks and updates to make it more comfortable, greener and with improved handling.
It’s only two years since the new Honda NSX – Honda’s second bash at the NSX – went on sale in the UK, but it’s already coming in for a series of upgrades to make it more appealing, a bit greener, more comfortable and easier to live with. That said, the improvements aren’t overwhelming, but Honda has tried to make the NSX a more rounded offering in the process, perhaps something we could have expected out of the gate considering how long it took them to deliver NSX mark two.
Apart from the option of a very orange paint job, Honda has a fiddle with the front and rear stabiliser bars – stiffer by 26 and 19 per cent respectively – with extra stiffness for the control-arm toe link bushes too.
Apparently, these small tweaks improve agility, as will the modified dampers, and tweaks to the hybrid system, stability control and steering, are a big improvement for on-road driving without reducing the NSX’s track feel.
Honda aren’t claiming any increase in power for the NSX, so we assume its twin-turbo 3.5 litre V6 hybrid’s 573bhp remains unchanged, and so does its 0-62mph of just under 3.0 seconds.
Honda hasn’t said whether the tweaks mean a price rise on the current car’s £145,000 list.
