Hyundai i30 Fastback Price & Specs for the UK announced

The new Hyundai i30 Fastback will cost from £20,305 in the UK – a £500 premium over the hatchback – with a choice of two petrol engines.

Hyundai revealed their sporty, stylish take on the i30 Hatchback in the summer – the i30 Fastback – and now it’s about to go on sale in the UK, with prices from £20,305 – a premium of just £500 over the Hatchback.

Joining the Hatchback, Tourer (Estate) and potent N in the i30 range, the Fastback offers a more stylish and sporty i30, with more dynamic looks and a slightly lower suspension, but with as much practicality as the Hatch. It’s the ‘Panamera’ of its class, say Hyundai.

The Fastback can be had in three trim levels – SE Nav, Premium and Premium SE – and the option of the 1.0 T-GDi and 1.4 T-GDi petrol engines, with both engines available across the range of trims.

The entry-level 1.0 T-GDi SE Nav comes with a decent spec including Sat Nav with 8″ touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Wireless Phone Charging, Bluetooth, Cloth Trim, 17″ alloys, Smart High Beam and manual gearbox (a 7 speed DCT is optional with the 1.4 litre).

The Fastback Premium adds Climate, electronic handbrake, Privacy Glass, Heated Front Seats, Faux Leather and Cloth, 4.2″ Supervision Cluster, Parking Assist, LED headlights and tail lights and 18″ alloys (on the 1.4). The range-topping Premium SE Fastback gets Panoramic roof, Leather and heated steering wheel.

Safety stuff mirrors the i30 Hatch, with Lane Departure, Forward Collision warning, Lane Keep, AEB and Hill Start, with Premium and Premium SE also getting Blind Spot and Rear Cross Traffic.

Available in Engine Red or Polar White, there are six additional colours – Ara Blue, Fiery Red and Micron Grey metallic and Phantom Black, Platinum Silver and Stargazing Blue Pearl – for an extra £585.

The new Hyundai i30 Fastback goes on sale officially in the UK on 18 January 2018.
