Hyundai’s ‘Click to Buy’ website now LIVE
The new Hyundai ‘Click to Buy’ website has now gone live, allowing customers to buy their new Hyundai with just a few clicks.
Back in November, Hyundai announced their Click to Buy website was on its way, allowing Hyundai customers to do just about everything they could at a dealers but instead do it from the comfort of their sofa. And now it’s live.Buyers can, currently, choose to buy an i10, i20, i30, Tucson or Santa Fe – which covers a very big chunk of Hyundai’s range – at fixed prices on the new site, something which will appeal to those with an in-built aversion to haggling.
For those who do like a haggle (and really, you should) the fixed prices aren’t ideal, although it does look like some of the cars are a bit cheaper than at a dealers. That said, we’re surprised Hyundai hasn’t done a fixed price deal at a fixed discount of, say, 10%.
Still, for those who are phobic about car dealerships (and there are many) the Hyundai site is a brilliant way to buy a new car, with all the potential complications – like finance, options and part exchange – slickly handled and sorted in less time than a dealer salesman would spend trying to upsell you gap insurance.
Tony Whitehorn, Hyundai’s UK boss, said:
Click To Buy is an industry first developed by Hyundai in-house and it aims to make the car buying process easier and more transparent than ever before. Consumers today demand choice and simplicity; they already expect to be able to buy a car in the same way that they’d be able to purchase their clothes or electrical goods online.
This is a pivotal time for the car industry as a whole and the start of what I think will be a transformative period in terms of how people buy and own cars going forward. I’m delighted that we are leading the charge and we will continue to innovate within this space moving forward.
There’s no question this is the future of car buying, probably with outlets like Hyundai’s Rockar stores offering a real world presence and actual ‘product’, and with dealers relegated to service, pick-up and distribution.
