Infiniti Q30 production model arrives early with this leaked photo
The Infiniti Q30 – Infiniti’s take on the Mercedes A Class – will debut at Frankfurt in September, but has arrived early thanks to a leaked official photo.
UPDATED: Shortly after we ran this story, Infiniti released the photo (above) officially, but they have given no more official information on engines, price and specs.
Looking very similar to the Q30 Concept (below), but with a few changes – like the front bumper, door handles and door mirrors – to make it production viable. But it’s still a good-looking car.
This Q30 is badged 2.2d, so it no doubt comes with the Mercedes 2.2 litre diesel which could be good for 169bhp with decent economy too.
The Q30 is going to be built in Sunderland, and with a capacity of 60,000 annual production it’s clear Infiniti has high hopes for their new compact car.
And with styling that is less bland than many competitors, the Infiniti should find a niche as a car that offers something just that bit different to the competition, even if it is basically a Mercedes A-Class under the skin.
With the first leaked photo now in the wild, full details on the new Infiniti Q30 should be along any time soon.
