Infiniti Q60 Coupe goes on sale in the UK
The Infiniti Q60 Coupe – Infiniti’s answer to the BMW 4 Series And Mercedes C-Class Coupe – goes on sale in the UK from £33,990 for the 2.0 litre petrol.
It was at the Detroit Motor Show at the start of 2015 that Infiniti revealed the Q60 Concept, and a year later the production take arrived and has now, finally, gone on sale in the UK priced from £33,990.But the £33,990 price tag is for the 2.0 litre petrol turbo with 206bhp – the sensible option – rather than the more appealing, if rather less frugal, V6 petrol option with 400bhp.
Still, the Infiniti Q60 is a good looking piece of kit with some clever touches – like an active grille for extra slip and economy – and although it’s the successor to the not that appealing G37, it does seem to tick a lot of boxes.
Even the 2.0 litre petrol gets four-wheel drive and a seven-speed automatic gearbox, with Infiniti’s new Dynamic Digital Suspension promising to make the Q60 agile and dynamic without wrecking the ride, and Direct Adaptive Steering promising something similar for feel.
At £33,990 the Q60 looks competitive against the ever-growing raft of ‘premium’ cars in this sector – from the aforementioned BMW and Mercedes to the Lexus RC and more – and the 400bhp V6 Q60, when it arrives later in the year, should be a bit cheaper than the BMW 440i equivalent.
The Infiniti Q60, at least with the 2.0 litre turbo petrol, is now available to order from Infiniti’s UK dealers.
