The Jaguar i-Pace Electric SUV – on sale in 2018 – has had its prices and specs revealed to early reservation holders in the Netherlands.
The Jaguar i-Pace is the third piece of Jaguar’s current SUV plans, adding an electric SUV alongside the E-Pace and F-Pace and will be on sale in 2018.
But until now we’ve all been playing ‘Guess the Price’ for the i-Pace, with most expecting Jaguar to kick off prices at around the £60,000 mark. But it looks like it could be more.
Autoblog in the Netherlands are reporting that Dutch reservation holders for the i-Pace have now been given pricing information and outline specs, and it looks like the i-Pace will start at around £72,000.
The entry-level S at £72,000 (€82k) will get 18″ alloys, LED headlights and a Meridian Sound System, with the i-Pace SE (costing around £80,000) adding in 20″ wheels, adaptive cruise, leather and power tailgate, and the i-Pace HSE (at around £86,000) adding Meridian Surround, power seats and heated seats.
As is now the norm for new cars, there’s an i-Pace First Edition with all the toys – including a Panoramic Roof, HUD and Air Suspension – which costs £94,000.
We’re assuming all the i-Pace models will get the same 90kWh battery and 300 mile range, as no mention is made of smaller battery pack options.
Spec and market conditions can see some differences in pricing between EU countries, but this is the best indication we’ve had yet of just what the i-Pace will cost in the UK.
Is £72,000 too much as a starting point for the i-Pace – mid-way between the Tesla Model X 75D and 100D?

It’s obvious the Model X is the SUV to buy. What were jag thinking with just 2 seats in the back of the i-pace?
