The McLaren 675 LT was actually revealed last week, but today it’s had its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, and McLaren has revealed the 675LT will cost from £259,500 and will be built in limited numbers – just 500 worldwide.
But McLaren has given the 675LT a wider track, fitted stiffer, lightweight springs, a faster steering rack and lightweight uprights and wishbones, along with lighter glass polycarbonate engine cover all help it to shed 100kg over the 650S.
The 675LT keeps the 650S’s seven-speed SSG gearbox – along with Normal, Sport and Track modes – but McLaren has given it a tweak to make it twice as quick with a more aggressive, and quicker shift thanks to Ignition Cut that momentarily cuts the fuel spark when you shift gears, making for a quicker shift and a ‘Crack’ on shifting.
The Geneva Show Car (above) comes in McLaren’s new Chicane Grey and gets fitted with the new McLaren Club Sport Pack – costing £5,090 – which adds titanium roll hoop, four point harnesses and a fire extinguisher.
First deliveries of the McLaren 675LT will be in July 2015, and it’s now available to order from McLaren’s UK dealers.
