Yesterday was a big day for the new McLaren Automotive, with the release of much of the detail on their Italia 458 challenger – the McLaren MP4-12C, the first car in a process that will see 3 different McLaren road cars launched in the next five years, and an annual production of around 4,000 cars by 2015.

But McLaren isn’t just another car maker. It’s one man’s Fiefdom. And that man is Ron Dennis. So when Ron Dennis speaks about the new MP4-12C – and the future of McLaren Automotive – it’s worth listening.
