New Mercedes E-Class Estate teased
The 2017 Mercedes E-Class Estate is due to be revealed on June 6, ahead of which Mercedes has released this video tease of their new load-lugging estate.
The big news on ‘Premium’ Estate cars of late has been all about the very stylish Volvo V90 Estate, but the V90 isn’t going to have the advantage of being the newest premium estate on offer any more with the 2017 Mercedes E-Class Estate due to be revealed on Monday (6 June 2016).Ahead of that reveal, Mercedes has posted a Facebook video (below) teasing the E-Class Estate’s arrival, with a full view of the interior and a shadowy look at the new E-Class Estate’s back end.
The truth is that nothing will be a huge surprise with the new E-Class Estate, with everything from the front to the back doors much the same as the new E-Class, and everything from the back doors back likely to be a larger take on the latest C-Class Estate.
What will be different though is the arrival of a Mercedes E-Class Estate that will offer competition to cars like the Audi A6 Allroad and the forthcoming Volvo V90 Cross Country, with a high-riding, 4WD, E-Class Estate we expect to be dubbed the Mercedes E-Class All-Terrain and featuring some butch cladding and a raised ride height.
Whether or not Mercedes are panning to reveal the All Terrain version of the E-Class Estate at the same time as the regular estate, we’ll have to wait until Monday to find out.
