
New MINI GP John Cooper Works costs £34,995
The new MINI GP John Cooper Works will debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show this month, with the 3,000 run of cars costing £34,995.
The latest MINI GP John Cooper Works has an outing at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the summer, suitably camouflaged and teasing the arrival of a limited-run production model.The production model of the 2020 MINI GP John Cooper Works is now heading for its public debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show at the end of the month (November 2019), ahead of going on sale, with each of the 3,000 run of cars costing £34,995.
MINI say the new GP John Cooper Works is the fastest production car they’ve ever made, with 302bhp from its four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, and although no performance figures have yet been revealed MINI do say it’s already set a sub-8 minute time at the Nurburgring. How sub-8 minutes that is we don’t know, but the current record in the segment is 7min 40.1sec by the Megane RS Trophy-R.
The GP John Cooper Works utilises individual chassis technology and aero optimised body, including a huge back wing, extreme body kit, rear diffuser and 19″ alloys.
The new MINI GP John Cooper Works will go on sale in the UK in the New Year and be built at MINI’s Oxford Plant.
