A new Mitsubishi PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) Concept is previewed for a debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show with two images.

New Mitsubishi PHEV Concept previewed for Geneva Motor Show
Despite many car makers’ (and governments’) desire to get us all to drive electric cars, the way forward seems to be a plug-in hybrid offering, potentially the best of all worlds, be that economy, ‘green-ness’ or, indeed, enhanced power.
That success clearly augers well for Mitsubishi’s future PHEVs, and it looks like another production PHEV from Mitsubishi is getting close with a preview this morning of a new PHEV Concept heading for the Geneva Motor Show in March.
Mitsubishi are being a bit coy about exactly what this new concept is, but it does seem to be a more compact SUV than the Outlander and could be either an updated version of the Concept XR-PHEV from the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show – a compact SUV with a 1.1 litre turbo engine and small electric motor – or even a heads-up on a new ASX.
All Mitsubishi are saying at the moment is that the new concept is:
A ‘declaration of intent’ for MMC’s future directions -a powerful embodiment of its next generation 2WD plug-in hybrid electric (“PHEV”) technology as well as its bold design renaissance, all contained in Mitsubishi Motors’ favourite format of the SUV crossover.
The all new Mitsubishi Motors concept – a smart combination of engineering, fluency with a high-output electric motor, low environmental impact, dynamic agility and athletic design.
We’ll no doubt learn more as Geneva approaches.
