Catie Munnings – first female British driver to win a European Rally title in 50 years – becomes a Peugeot Ambassador and headlines the Peugeot 208 Black Edition.
You may not have heard of Catie Munnings, but at just 18 she’s the 2016 FIA Ladies European Rally Champion – the first British female driver to win a European rally title in nearly half a century – driving the Peugeot 208 R2 to success as part of the Saintéloc Junior Rally Team.Unsurprisingly, she’s been made a Peugeot Ambassador, and to cash-in on that are linking her rally prowess – and youth – to this, the new sporty Peugeot 208 Black Edition.

Not just an ‘everything black’ special, you can have the 208 Black Edition in Nera Black, Bianca White or Hurricane Grey complete with 16″ Titane gloss black alloys with white laser engraving, an equalizer grille with gloss black finisher and gloss black door mirrors.
Under the bonnet is the 1.2L Pure Tech 82 petrol engine – complete with official economy of 62.8mpg (mid-40s in the real world) with the interior being titivated with 7″ multifunction touchscreen, DAB, Bluetooth, CarPlay, Mirror Link and Android Auto.
The successful Ms Munnings was pressed to comment on the 208 Black Edition, saying:
I’m very excited to kick start my next chapter with PEUGEOT. There are some exciting projects in the pipeline that I‘m thrilled to be a part of. I think the PEUGEOT 208 Black Edition is a brilliant car too. It looks and feels great and I really think its sporting appeal sets it apart – its basically any young person’s dream car!
The 2017 Peugeot 208 Black Edition is now on sale at Peugeot’s UK dealers from £14,495.
