New Volkswagen T-Cross baby SUV TEASED on video
The new Volkswagen compact SUV – the VW T-Cross – debuts on 25 October, ahead of which VW deliver a video tease to tempt the interested.
It could be argued that the last thing the world needs is yet another small, urban SUV from the VW Group, but that’s what we’re getting with the new Volkswagen T-Cross, due to be revealed this week (25 October 2018).Ahead of that reveal VW has delivered a new video tease to highlight the T-Cross and tempt the interested to tune in for the reveal of VW’s smallest SUV on Thursday.
What we can see is an interior which looks to be taken from the Polo (no surprise there) and an exterior design which, certainly for a VW, seems to verge on the quirky, with a standout back end complete with the current fad for light bar tail lights.
Sitting below the T-Roc, Tiguan and Touareg in VW’s SUV line-up, the T-Cross sits on the same platform as the Pole and will likely come with similar engine options, including a 1.0 litre TSI petrol and 1.6 litre TDI diesel, although any form of hybrid – even 48v – seems unlikely at this point. Whether VW decides to offer the T-Cross with four-wheel drive remains to be seen.
All will be revealed when the Volkswagen T-Cross debuts on 25 October.
