New Volkswagen Touareg DRIVING from Europe to its debut in Beijing
The new Volkswagen Touareg has been teased to death by VW already, and now the ultimate tease runs on with a set of videos chronicling the new Touareg’s drive from Europe to its debut in Beijing.
It seems Volkswagen intend the new Touareg to be the flagship of the VW range, and from what we know it’s moving firmly in to Audi territory in its latest incarnation. Not due for a public debut until it arrives in Bejing on 23 March, VW has already been in tease overdrive with their new SUV.
Not only have we had photos and video of the new Touareg, VW has also let a select bunch of motoring journalists from the world’s glossy car magazines loose on the new Touareg for a pre-launch review so we get an ‘independent’ take on just how good the new Touareg is going to be.
Those reviews seemed to conclude VW’s new Touareg is a bit of a tour de force, with its new platform borrowed from the Porsche Cayenne (and others), lots of toys, lots of technology, lots of customisation options, more room and the promise of hybrid versions a bit further down the line.
Not content with the tease overload, Volkswagen are now chronicling a road trip by the new Touareg from VW’s Plant in Bratislava to its public debut in Beijing, a total of almost 10,000 miles through 11 countries.
You can watch the first two roadtrip videos below, assuming you’re not already suffering from new Touareg overload.
