New Volvo Polestar teased. Is it a proper V60 Polestar? (video)

Volvo tuners Polestar are teasing a new Volvo Polestar concept for reveal this month. Is it a 508bhp version of the Volvo V60 Estate?

Last summer, Volvo came out of the woodwork with a proper performance version of the S60 saloon which had been fettled by Polestar and was good for 508bhp.

That hot S60 promised a proper performance version of the S60 (rather than the Polestar tweak for the production T6 which gives a more modest 324bhp) in the offing as a production model to pit Volvo against cars like the M3 and C63 AMG.

But the closest the S60 Polestar got to production was a Volvo S60 Polestar for Australia which ended up with a far more modest 350bhp and a 0-62mph around 5 seconds, rather than the S60 Concept’s 4 seconds.

But Volvo and Polestar are now teasing a new performance car for reveal on 23rd of November, which we expect to be a proper Polestar version of the Volvo V60 estate.

We’re assuming it will probably come with something north of 500bhp – just like the S60 Concept – but whatever it is, it does make a good noise.

Lets’ just hope Volvo take this concept seriously enough to turn it in to a real performance production estate. A Volvo V60 Polestar with 4WD and 500bhp could be enough to make the Germans sit up and take notice.
