New Volvo V60 Cross Country UK Price and Spec
The new Volvo V60 Cross Country – Volvo’s high-riding ‘Allroad’ V60 Estate – costs from £38,270 in the UK and only available with a diesel engine.
The new Volvo V60 Cross Country was revealed last month as Volvo complete the range of offerings in their 60 Series range, and now it’s ready to go on sale in the UK with prices from £38,270 and just a single trim level – and with only a D4 diesel engine option. We’re big fans of Volvo’s Cross Country models – and reckoned the V90 Cross Country is the pick of the V90 range – and we know the D4 engine is a good choice for the car, but after the fanfare of the S60 dropping diesel we’re surprised the V60 Cross Country doesn’t at least have a petrol option.
Still, if the Cross Country emulates the V90 Cross Country with the D4 engine it’ll work well, deliver a higher, but sublime, ride and do just about everything the XC60 can do but without quite the bulk.
The D4 engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox with drive to all four wheels, with Hill Descent and an Off Road Mode as standard to help tackle more rough stuff than a regular V60 could cope with.
Standard kit includes parking sensors, LED headlights with Active High beam, power tailgate, Hill Start, unique 18″ alloys, Volvo’s very good V60 interior with Sensus Tablet screen, City Safe and Oncoming Collision Mitigation.
Orders for the new V60 Cross Country are now being taken, with first customer cars due in early 2019.
