In April, Nissan revealed the GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition model to celebrate half a century of GT-R models from Nissan. And now it’s going on sale in the UK.
Nissan say they are producing just 50 examples of the anniversary model for Europe, but 18 of those will be built for the UK, with each costing from £92,995.
The most visible highlight for the 50th Anniversary Edition is the Bayside Blue paint job, not seen since the R34 GT-R, and it’s the only option for the UK and comes complete with white racing stripes, delivered with a four coat double-heat treatment process for deep blues with striking highlights and shadows. Apparently.
Based on the Prestigle GT-R, the 50th Anniversary models also get new 20″ alloys with blue highlights. a Prestige Grey leather interior with Alcantara headliner with unique stitching and even Alcantara-wrapped sun visors.
Shinichiro Irie, GT-R Design Director, said:
The Nissan GT-R has been the icon of our company’s driving performance for the past half century.
We were highly motivated to ensure that the GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition stands out. While the exterior and interior changes may seem subtle at first glance, they’re still impactful, especially with the new paint schemes, keeping the car’s lines and overall presence modern and edgy.
Nissan are offering special finance terms for the GT-R 50th, and if it’s a bit too pricey to consider there’s also a 50th Anniversary version of the 370Z at a more affordable £38,995.
