Porsche Macan Turbo not quick enough? You need the new Macan Turbo Performance Package

Porsche has announced a new Performance Package for the Macan Turbo which increases power and torque, improves braking and lowers suspension.

The Porsche Macan Turbo is no slouch straight out of the factory, with its 3.6 litre twin-turbo V6 delivering an impressive 394bhp and 405lb/ft of torque, enough to get to 62mph in 4.8 seconds.

But although it’s never entirely true that you can never have too much power, the chassis of the Macan is so good – and its handling so appealing for an SUV – that the option of more power is very appealing. Step forward the Performance Package for the Porsche Macan Turbo.

For around an extra £5,500, Porsche will fit your Macan Turbo with a Performance Package which increases power to 433bhp and torque to 442lb/ft, enough to cut the 0-62mph time to a very sprightly 4.4 seconds.

But this is Porsche, so they’re not going to just chip the car and let you get on with it – even though the standard Macan Turbo could cope with the extra power – so there’s a more comprehensive makeover going on.

That includes a newly developed braking system, a lowered body and Sports Chassis, Sports Chrono Package, Sports Exhaust, grooved discs at the front and PASM as standard.

On top of the standard spec, you can also option stuff like Turbo Exterior Package, 21″ 911 Turbo alloys, LED lights with PDLS and a Turbo Interior Package.

The Porsche Macan Turbo with Performance Package is now available to order from Porsche’s UK dealers, priced from £68,073. First customer deliveries will be before the end of 2016.
