Porsche Panamera Executive is a LWB Panamera
Porsche has revealed the Panamera Executive – a LWB Panamera – as well as a new 3.0 litre V6 petrol engine, both of which debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show.
The latest Porsche Panamera was only revealed this summer, but Porsche is already extending the offerings with a new Panamera Executive and a new engine option.
The Porsche Panamera Executive is Porsche’s pitch at the luxury chauffeur market, delivering a Panamera with an extra 150mm cut in to the wheelbase (that’s an extra 6 inches in real money) for room to party, and plenty of luxury extras too.
The extras include a big panoramic roof, electric and heated comfort seats front and back, adaptive air suspension and PASM, and if you splash out for the Panamera Executive 4S or Turbo you can add in rear axle steering and soft close doors, with the Turbo also getting four-zone climate, PDLS, LED headlights and ambient lighting.
Despite the decent standard equipment, Porsche are also peddling extras like a new centre console with a pair of fold-out airline tables and a rear sear entertainment package with two 10.1″ screens.
The new 3.0 litre V6 petrol engine adds to the Panamera’s engine options (effectively picking up the entry-level point from the old 3.6 V6 in the previous Panamera) and is available on the Panamera or Panamera 4 mated to an eight-speed PDK.
Power from the new 3.0 litre petrol is actually up by 20bhp on the old 3.6 with 326bhp, despite which it returns official economy improved by 13 per cent at up to 37.7mpg.
The new Panamera Executive and the new 3.0 litre V6 engine option are now on sale at Porsche’s UK dealers, with the 3.0 V6 Panamera available from £66,386 and the new Panamera Executive starting at £76,034 for the Panamera 4 Executive (and rising to a significant £122,480, before extras, if you want the Panamera Turbo Executive).
