The Range Rover Evoque facelift has been revealed with a raft of cosmetic updates, new Ingenium diesel engines and a new model range to mirror the Range Rover Sport.
Land Rover gave us a tease for the 2016 model year Range Rover Evoque facelift last week, and now they’ve revealed the changes in full ahead of a debut at next week’s Geneva Motor Show.Under the bonnet, Land Rover has fitted the new Ingenium diesel engines (giving us an idea of what the new Discovery Sport will offer when it gets the new engines too), with the most economical FWD eD4 offering 148bhp, 68mpg and emissions of just 109g/km (manual coupe). A more powerful version of the same engine delivers 178bhp and delivers 59mpg and 125g/km.
Land Rover has chosen to keep the existing Si4 petrol engine for now – rather than fit a new Ingenium petrol – which does 36mpg and has 181g/km emissions.
The cosmetic tweaks to the Evoque leave its shape – which still looks good – relatively untouched, but there’s a fair bit of tweaking and tidying to make it look current and clean.
That means new, slimline, full LED Active headlights, new LED running lights, a more aggressive front bumper, slimmer fog lights, two new mesh grills, a new spoiler at the back with built-in LED brake light, new tail lights with LED running feature and a hands free electric tailgate.
There’s also a new range of colours to choose from – including Waitomo Grey Premium Metallic and Baltoro Ice Metallic – and an extra six alloy wheel choices.
The new Range Rover Evoque also has new model designations – SE, HSE Dynamic and Autobiography – to align it with the Range Rover Sport.

Inside, there’s new seats and door casings, a new instrument binnacle, new soft-touch materials and standard Taurus leather – with higher spec models getting front massage seats – 12 colour options and ambient lighting.
Technology tweaks include the arrival of JLR’s InControl infotainment (which is far better than the current cars clunky infotainment), with InControl Touch Plus standard on HSE Dynamic and Autobiography which adds HDD Sat Nav, rear seat entertainment and Meridian sound, Lane Keep Assist, Autonomous emergency Braking and Attention Assist.
The new Range Rover Evoque debuts next week in Geneva and will arrive in Land Rover’s UK dealers in August. Although no prices have been revealed for the new Evoque, Land Rover say they will be in line with current prices.
