The Rolls-Royce Phantom Zenith Collection
[nggallery id=2344 template=customlinks]
The Rolls-Royce Phantom Zenith Collection is a run of 50 Phantom Coupes and Drophead Coupes to mark the end of Phantom production.
The current Rolls-Royce Phantom goes out of production this year, and to mark the end of what is probably the world’s greatest car Rolls-Royce has revealed the Phantom Zenith Collection, a run of 50 Coupe and Drophead Coupe Phantom models. But these aren’t just any Phantoms, these are designed to be the ultimate iterations of the Coupe and Drophead, they’re all sold and are heading for collections rather than as road cars.
Rolls-Royce say the Zenith models represent just the starting point, and buyers are speccing the models to suit their tastes, but the Zenith models do offer a very sybaritic starting point for buyers to add to.
The titivations include a bigger Champagne fridge (this one’s good for two bottles) with eight Rolls-Royce glasses, a new custom picnic hamper and a glass shelf in the rear section of the tailgate which can be deployed to serve the Champagne you’ve stored.
Inside the cabin, there’s laser etching on the armrest cappings which depict the launch venues for the original Phantom Concepts (Villa d’Este and Lake Geneva), and the central fascia drawer houses a laser engraved case containing a piece of the Phantom production line at Goodwood with co-ordinates showing just where it came from.
The starlight headliner shines more light on the front seats than the back, there’s a brushed steel speedo, the front seats have a lighter shade of leather than the rear, and the choice of paint colours evoke Rolls-Royce’ history including Madeira Red and Jubilee Silver Phantom Coupé and Midnight Blue and Artic White.
Other touches include hints of the Phantom Coupé Aviator Collection on the central tunnel, Blood-Orange tips to the instrument dials, machined aluminium cupholders and book-matched metal foiling on the fascia.
Rolls Royce hasn’t revealed any prices for the Zenith Collection, but they will be significant. And they’ll be even more significant once the buyers throw in their own ideas on luxury.
