The Smart Car has competition – Perhaps!

The world and his dog is obsessed with ‘Eco’ cars at the moment, and all car makers are on the lookout for the opportunity to introduce a car to the market that will tick all the right boxes.

But where do Supercar makers go with this? Bentley is trying to go down the Bio-Fuel route as an option, and SSC are pursuing the EV route with their latest offering.

But surely there is a market for real small supercars? Something the size of a Smart Car, but with a chunk of the Kudos the proper versions have. Perfect for use in town, or as a courtesy car when your Lamborghini goes in for its next service.

At least that’s what one of our very creative French readers thinks. And to prove the point he has sent us a set of images of his thoughts on what Smart Car rivals from Supercar makers could look like.

It’s not going to be difficult to work out which is which, but he’s called them La Smamborghini, La Smerrari, La Smaudi A3 AWD, La Smorsche, La Smorsche Targa and La Smorvette. Enjoy!
