Yet another Top Gear Trailer: A day in the office with TINDER for cars

With a week to go until Chris Evans’ new Top Gear airs, we get a new trailer which is all about Evans and LeBlanc at the Top Gear Office.

There’s only so much supercars screaming and novelty items playing out you can cobble together for a Top Gear trailer without them all starting to meld in to one another.

So Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc’s latest trailer for the ‘new’ Top Gear’ takes a slightly more laid-back approach to promos, with a snippet of the new presenters in the Top Gear office, interspersed with the aforementioned screaming cars and novelty items.

Le Blanc is busy flicking through used cars on his phone – and considering it ‘Car Tinder’ – and Evans is on the phone chasing up a car viewing.

LeBlanc finally finds a car (“She’s Hot”) and the scene the cuts to shots of ‘Hot’ cars, complete with a fake Barry White soundtrack.

The ‘Hot’ cars unwrapped start with  Jaguar E-Type, and continue with a Rolls Royce, Mustang, Ferraris (old and new), Ken Block drifting and much more.

We’re guessing it’s a way of showing there’s no animosity between Evans and LeBlanc, as well as showcasing stunning cars, although the closing shots show Leblanc asking Evans: “How far’s Glasgow”. “Not that far”, replies Evans.

The first episode of the new series of Top Gear starts at 8pm (UK time) on 29 May 2016.
