2015 Kia Sorento teased (video)

The 2015 Kia Sorento is teased by Kia ahead of a debut in Korea in August and a European public debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in October.

The 2015 Kia Sorento will be revealed in South Korea next month (August 2014) – and get its European debut at the Paris Motor Show in October – so Kia are starting to tease their new Sorento with a couple of teaser photos (above and below).

Kia tell us that the new Sorento – sister car to the latest Hyundai Santa Fe (and based on the same underpinnings) – gets a lower roofline, a higher beltline and looks more muscular thanks also to bigger rounded shoulders at the back, deeply sculptured body surfaces and a new ‘Tiger Nose’ grill.

As well as looking more sporty, the new Sorento is also set to offer more room (much needed for the seven seater, especially in the back row) and we’d expect Kia to continue its march upmarket with a more technologically and sophisticated interior than the current Sorento enjoys.

Engine options for the new Sorento – at least in the UK – are likely to be just a tweaked version of the current 194bhp 2.2 litre CRDi, but there are strong rumours that Kia are planning a hybrid version of the new Sorento, although that’s unlikely to be available from launch.

The new 2015 Kia Sorento will get its European debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show and is likely to arrive in the UK in early 2015.
