The Porsche Macan has had an upgrade for 2016, with interior and exterior packs for the Turbo, new alloys and Porsche’s latest PCM infotainment.
It’s only a year since the Porsche Macan was revealed as Porsche’s take on a little brother for the Cayenne, but it’s already the most appealing ‘compact’ SUV on the market, especially if you have more than a passing interest in the drive. From the slightly underpowered Macan S Diesel to the extremely impressive Macan Turbo – and now the new Macan GTS – Porsche is covering a wide span of appeal with the Macan. But, despite its relatively recent arrival, Porsche are upgrading the Macan for 2016.
Across the Macan range comes Porsche’s latest PCM infotainment system – first seen in the new 911 – which adds more functionality – including Apple CarPlay, wi-fi and real time Nav – all housed in a new 7″ touchscreen sat in the middle of the dashboard.
Porsche has also had a play with the Macan’s electric steering to make it sharper, and you can now option up LED headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS Plus).
Opt for the Macan Turbo and you can now option new interior and exterior styling packs, with the exterior pack adding 21″ bi-colour alloys, gloss black trim, black tail pipes, smoked rear lights and aerodynamic door mirrors.
The interior pack takes its cue from the new GTS, with the door cards and seat centre panels getting Alcantara covering with contrast stitching, ‘Turbo’ lettering on the headrests and illuminated carbon door sill plates.
The upgraded Macan will go on sale early in 2016.
