The 2016 Skoda Octavia vRS 4×4 has gone on sale in the UK, costing from £27,315 for the hatch and £28,515 for the estate.
The Skoda Octavia is a much better car than you might expect, and the range-topping diesel vRS is a very appealing car, which has just got a bit more appealing with the arrival of this, the 2016 Skoda Octavia vRS 4×4, revealed last year and now on sale in the UK.
True, any car powered by a VW diesel may find it a bit harder to find a buyer than it did before dieselgate erupted, but if you want a commodious, well-built daily driver, there aren’t many a lot better than the Octavia vRS – especially the Estate.
Powered by the 2.0 litre VW TDI with 181bhp, the vRS 4×4 can get to 62mph in 7.6 seconds (7.7s for the estate) and return official economy of 57.7mpg (56.5mpg for the estate), so 40mpg plus in the real world should be easily achievable.
The vRS comes with a decent spec including sports suspension, 18″ Gemini alloys, bi-xenon headlights, Sat Nav, Climate and electronic diff lock as well as vRS bumpers, spoiler and interior.
The 2016 Skoda Octavia vRS Hatch and Estate are now on sale at Skoda’s UK dealers.
