We have the price list and trim and engine options for the 2017 Honda Civic, which goes on sale in the UK at the end of March priced from £18,235.
The 2017 Honda Civic debuted at the Paris Motor Show last autumn, as Honda prepared to deliver the new Civic round the world from Swindon. And now it’s about to go on sale in the UK priced from £18,235.Apart from the decent looks and solid build quality which come as standard, you get the option of two new petrol engines at launch, with a 127bhp 3-cylinder 1.0 litre and a 1.5 litre four cylinder with 180bhp, both with a six-speed manual or CVT.
Entry-level on the trim front is the Civic S, followed by SE, SR, EX, Sport, Sport Plus and Prestige. It’s fair to say you’ll probably not come out of the showroom with the Civic you thought with s many options.
If the Civic S with its 127bhp VTEC and manual transmission is the cheapest new Civic at £18,235, the most expensive is the Civic Prestige with the 180bhp VTEC and CVT ‘box at £27,480.
The pricing is well-judged, but what will help Honda shift the new Civic is the residual values – a big factor in monthly lease costs – which have been pitched by CAP at 37% after 36 months and 60k miles – a full 9% better than the outgoing Civic.
Phil Webb, Honda’s UK boss, said:
As a brand we are making big strides in improving residual values across our range. This will make our cars even more affordable and lower the total cost of ownership for private and business buyers.
The launch of the advanced and sporty new Civic is a major milestone for Honda in the UK and so we are delighted that CAP agree with our own assessment of this fantastic new car.
The 2017 Honda Civic will be available to order at Honda’s UK dealers later in March.
