The new Mercedes E-Class family gets complete with the arrival of the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet, revealed ahead of its Geneva Motor Show debut.
The final piece of the latest Mercedes E_Class range arrives ahead of Geneva with this, the new 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet, bringing open-air motoring to the E-Class.Bigger than the last generation Cabriolet, the new Cabriolet gets the same platform the E-Class saloon and looks exactly as it should – a new E-Class Coupe with a folding cloth roof.
That means, apart from the folding roof, most of what’s on offer is the same as the Coupe, although there are differences.
They include a new locking animation for the lights (steady!), a bit of aluminium on the A-pillar and across the windscreen and 19″ alloys as standard.
The cabin is pure E-Class Coupe too, complete with 12.3″ infotainment screen and a varying size screen for the instruments depending on your spend.
We’re expecting the Cabriolet to get the same engine options as the Coupe, 4WD 4MATIC options and a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
Optional stuff includes AIRCAP and AIRSCARF for a more comfortable top-down stuff, Dynamic Suspension, Magic Vision Control, AMG Styling and autonomous tech.
No sign of UK prices for the new E-Class Cabriolet yet, but it’ll be more than the Coupe so expect starting prices the wrong side of £40k.
