2017 Skoda Octavia on sale in the UK
The 2017 Skoda Octavia goes on sale in the UK today (25 Jan 2016), costing from £17,055 for the Octavia 1.0 TSI in entry-level S trim.
Skoda’s updates for the Octavia are the usual facelift fodder, with new bumpers, new lights, a technology upgrade or three and some interior titivations.
There’s a familiar range of trim levels for the hatch and estate, with the new range kicking off at £17,055 for the S 1.0 TSI with 113bhp (£18,360 for the Estate) with a manual gearbox (£1250 extra for DSG), and an extra £2,090 if you prefer the 1.6 TDI engine.
SE trim will cost you an additional £1,305, but you do get extra stuff like Cruise, Drive Modes, rear parking sensors, Climate and bits of chrome. You also get an extra engine option, with the 2.0 TDI costing £21,170(£22,370 Estate).
Next up the Octavia tree is the SE Technology (starting at £20,395) and adding in parking sensors all round, 8″ infotainment and Sat Nav, Wi-fi hotspot and adaptive cruise. But you can only have diesel engines.
SE L trim (from £21,350) add Alcantara and leather upholstery, full LED headlights, privacy glass, gloss black grille and an umbrella.
For the posh Octavia you’ll need the Laurin and Klement models (from £27,435) which you can have only with the 2.0 TDI (and with 4WD if you wish) and which throw in heated front seats, heated steering wheel, 9.2″ infotainment, CANTON sound, driver seat memory, Park Assist and Lane Assist.
Octavia Scout models, only as an estate with the 2.0 TDI and 4WD from £26,525, get Alcantara and leather upholstery, 8″ infotainment, butch bodywork, raised ride height and off-road mode.
Finally, the Octavia vRS – from £25,130 and available as an estate or hatch, 2.0 TSI or TDI and optional 4WD – get better equipped with sports seats, full LED headlights, Performance mode and an extra 10bhp for the TSI.
