2019 Toyota RAV4 UK Prices and Specs
The new 2019 Toyota RAV4, revealed back in the spring, costs from £29,635 in the UK, with a choice of four trim levels and a single 2.5 litre Hybrid powertrain.
The Toyota RAV4 is a stalwart of the Toyota range, serving traditional customers with a practical ‘SUV’ but not exactly exciting younger buyers. But now there’s a new RAV4 on the block, revealed in New York back in the spring, underpinned by Toyota’s TNGA Platform and with new looks which are appealingly contemporary but familiar enough to not put off the RAV4’s traditional buyers.
When the RAV4 was revealed we understood it would arrive in the UK with the choice of a new 2.5 litre hybrid powertrain of a 2.0 litre petrol. But now it’s here and the petrol engine option has gone, with just the new 2.5 litre hybrid available.
But the hybrid powertrain can be had in either front or all-wheel drive, with Toyota promising the electric 4Wd setup delivers much greater off-road capabilities than the current RAV4 does. It comes with 215bhp (219bhp in the 4WD version) adn emissions of 102g/km (103g/km 4WD).
The new RAV4 comes in a choice of four trim grades – Icon, Design, Excel and Dynamic – with Iconic coming with 17″ alloys, Fogs, rear parking sensors, auto lights and wipers, LED headlights, Keyless, privacy glass, electric heated mirrors, Toyota Touc 2 with 8″ screen, DAB, rear view camera and Toyota Safety Sense 2.
Design trim adds 18″ alloys, Smart entry, power tailgate and front parking sensors, and Excel Projector LED headlights, Blind Spot, Rear Cross Traffic, heated fronts eats, electric driver’s seat, leather, heated steering wheel and windscreen wiper de-ice, with Dynamic trim delivering Balc 18″ alloys, heated sports seats, bi-tone paint and black headlining. Options available include JBL Sound, Panoramic View Monitor and Panoramic roof
Price start at £29,365 for the Icon, £31,190 for the Design, £33,610 for the Excel and £34,400 for the Dynamic. Four-wheel drive models add £2,240.
Toyota’s UK dealers are now taking order for the 2019 RAV4, with first deliveries due in April 2019.

Patrick Goff says
My third Touareg is now over six year old and asked to be replaced. The latest iteration is even larger and blander, more fitting a banker than an artist looking for of roader to tour back waters of Europe. Each iteration of the Touareg has lost style and moved further away from its off road roots. It also is still a diseasel and the time has come to look for a hybrid replacement. There are only two available in April 2019, the RAV 4 and the Honda CR-V. I have test driven the RAV 4 and was surprised how like an early Touareg it was but with much better electronics than my latest one. It is quiet, roomy, comfortable well designed, better looking than the Honda as well as faster and more economical. The only problem is waiting until mid may to get my 4×4 version of the Excel ( got used to heated steering wheel and seats). The missus won’t drive the current Touareg as it is too big, but the RAV 4 is a bit smaller so she will drive it too, which is the only drawback I can see right now.
