Lamborghini are still promising to bring a new car to every major motor show (some claim from such a small car maker) and the rumour mill is now convinced that the offering for the 2012 Geneva Motor Show will be the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster. Which makes lots of sense.
We had confirmation back in June that the convertible Aventador was on the way after the EPA in the US listed the Aventador Roadster in its official fuel economy listings for 2012. So unless the Roadster is going to arrive at Detroit next month, there’s plenty of sense in Geneva 2012 as the most likely candidate.
It’s also said that the LP700-4 Roadster will get a half-decent folding top, rather than the stupid origami contraption the Murcielago Roadster got. But Lamborghini has always argued that the roof on the Murcielago was not really to be used; in Lamborghini’s opinion, their customer would simply take another of their cars if it rained.
Hard to argue against that.
