We’ve already confirmed that Peugeot are taking the production versions of the new 208 GTi and 208 XY to Paris, and they are also taking the hybrid supercar Peugeot Onyx Concept.
But now it looks like we’re going to see the production concept of a compact SUV / Crossover based on the new 208 – the Peugeot 2008.
We had a good idea the 2008 was on its way when Peugeot showed the Urban Crossover Concept at the Beijing Motor Show earlier this year, but with these photos of the 2008 appearing it looks like the 2008 is close to production.
Engine lineup for the 2008 is expected to mimic what’s on offer in the new 208 including a hybrid 4WD version with an electric motor running the back axle.
More when we get it.

If this goes into production I could definitely be tempted. Nice to see Peugeot has got its styling mojo back; the cars from the past few years have certainly not been lookers. And, while they are obviously trying to tempt buyers away from the likes of the Nissan Juke, it is good to see a far more sensible looking car. Give this the semi-auto and micro-hybrid Diesel as offered in the new 208 and I would certainly consider it.
