Lexus has decided to add an additional model to the RX range – the Lexus RX 450h Advance – with additional equipment.

Lexus has added a new version of the hybrid RX 450h to their range of offerings in the UK – the Lexus RX 450h Advance – but they’re not exactly pushing the boat out to promote it.
Those extras amount to a new front bumper that’s half regular R and half RX F-Sport for a slightly more butch look, LED headlights and Lexus’s I-AFS auto-adaptive system that makes the lights move according to steering input.
There’s also some new 7-spoke alloys and a choice of either panoramic or electric sunroof and a choice of six colours – Velvet Black, Arctic Pearl, Mercury Grey, Satin Silver, Celestial Black and Burgundy Red – with a choice of ivory, light grey, black and saddle tan interior with dark gloss inlays.
What’s a bit odd is that the RX Advance comes at the same price – £48,495 – as the RX Luxury it’s based on. Does that make the Advance a Limited Edition to get a few more sales, a replacement for the Luxury grade – or something else?
Still, if you’re in the market for an RX the new Advance appears to offer more for the money.
