To show just how good the new BMW M4 Coupe is, BMW let World Touring Car Champion Andy Priaulx loose with the M4 at Brands Hatch.

BMW tends not to shout as loudly about the performance of its cars as it used to, but they’ve finally released video of the new M4 in the hands of a proper driver, and driven in anger.
But that’s not surprising when the new M4 has 425bhp and 405lb/ft of torque to play with, enough to get it to 62mph in just 4.1 seconds if you opt for the seven-speed DCT ‘box.
To make the most of the power, the M4 gets an extensively re-worked chassis with lightweight components, a wider track and aluminium control arms and subframes.
Not only that, but BMW reckons the new M4 is 80kg lighter – spec for spec – than the old BMW M3 Coupe.
There’s perhaps a bit too much talking heads and data going on – and a view of BMW’s new M Lap Timer App which logs all your lap data – and not quite enough track action.
But it’s still worth the watch.
