You might reasonably think that the cost of a Range Rover – over £100k if you go for a high-end model, and much more once you start adding goodies – is a steep price.
JLR’s Special Vehicle Operations has teamed up with sporting gun makers Holland & Holland to create a very high-end, and very expensive, Range Rover for the small group of RR customers for whom a regular Range Rover just isn’t enough.
Based on the Range Rover Autobiography Black – and available with either the 4.4 litre SDV8 or 5.0 litre Supercharged Petrol – the Holland & Holland Rangie comes in a unique Holland & Holland Green hue complete with H&H badges.
But it’s the interior where the money is, with Executive Seating in the back with re-designed centre console and electric walnut tables, USB sockets, extra stowage and bespoke lights.
Upholstered in soft tan and espresso hides with Holland & Holland engraving, French walnut veneer, Holland & Holland’s brand-defining acanthus scroll turning on the door handles, aluminium loadspace cabinet in the boot with Alcantara lining for a pair of Holland & Hollands and a deployable loadspace floor.
John Edwards, JLR’s SVO head, said:
The whole SVO team is very proud of this car, a bespoke design, which perfectly meets the very particular needs of Holland & Holland’s customers. This shows the huge potential of SVO, which encapsulates both off- and on-road performance as well as luxury and craftsmanship.
Land Rover plan to build just 40 Range Rover Holland & Hollands a year, each costing from £180,000.
