The Lexus LF-C2 Concept is heading for a reveal at the L.A. Auto Show this month and looks to be a preview of a production RC Convertible.

The shadowy silhouette of the Lexus LF-C2 Concept – heading for LA
If you’re going to debut a new convertible, even a concept of a new convertible, the LA Auto Show is probably the place to do it.
But a reveal at the LA Show is clearly not enough for Lexus, so they’ve set up a web page dedicated to the reveal of the convertible LF-C2 Concept where they plan to ‘undress’ the concept gradually, hour by hour, starting at 9.40pm (UK time – 1.40pm PST) on 16 November – exactly 72 hours before the LA show debut – with an ever increasing glow from a solar eclipse.
What Lexus hasn’t said is exactly what the LF-C2 Concept previews, but it’s pretty clear it’s a convertible version of the RC Coupe.
What we don’t know – but will discover soon – is whether Lexus has stuck with the folding tin roof of the IS Convertible or gone the fabric roof route, and nor do we know whether we will see an RC Convertible with a range of engines or just the V8 RC F Convertible.
We’ll find out soon.
