The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV GX5h and GX5hs have been revealed by Mitsubishi as the luxury take on the plug-in hybrid petrol Outlander.

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV GX5h and GX5hs – a more luxurious Outlander
The big pitch for the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV – Mitsubishi’s plug-in hybrid SUV – is that it’s affordable and practical and with prices comparable to diesel-engined versions of the Outlander.
But Mitsubishi has now twigged that buyers, and company car buyers in particular, would rather like to have as much luxury and toys as possible in addition to the low tax and low running costs, so they’ve come up with a pair of new models – the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV GX5h and GX5hs.
That means more upmarket stuff comes in the price, like Nappa leather, 420W Alpine sound, mood lighting, puddle lamps, heated seats all round, side steps, rear spoiler and LED fogs.
The GX5hs also gets a few added extras like Lane Departure Warning, Rear Spoiler, Adaptive Cruise and Forward Collision Mitigation, but both versions get the luxury touches above.
Clive Messenger, Mitsubishi’s Corporate Sales boss, said:
The GX5h and GX5hs plug-in hybrid Outlanders offer such a fantastic package of benefits for both companies and company car drivers – high specification, luxury feel, low running costs, strong environmental credentials. We are expecting it to quickly populate company car choice lists UK-wide.
The GX5hs comes in at £44,999 – a fair jump on the entry-level Outlander PHEV at £28,249 – but with no road tax and BIK of £75 a month, it’s a very sensible company car buy.
